FOLSE Community Conversations with Don Beattie

"The Uncertain Future of Our Nation's Space Program" is the topic of our community conversations. Everyone is invited to hear former NASA Division Director, Don Beattie, discuss the U.S. Space Program and Mars Exploration. The author's books will be available for purchase and signing with all proceeds going to the Friends of the Southeast Library. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Library.

Movie Night at Southeast

While 14-year-old Duncan is being dragged on a family trip with his Mom and her overbearing boyfriend, he finds a gregarious friend at a local water park.  The two form a powerful bond as Duncan learns to swim through the challenges of life, love, family and friendship, resulting in a vacation he'll never forget.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Teen Holiday Gaming Tournament

Visions of Sugar Plums Holiday Storytime

Jingle down to the library for a grand celebration of the winter holidays. This storytime for all ages will feature songs, stories, games, and some special holiday visitors. We ask that children please wear socks and close-toed shoes for this program. As part of one of our games, children will remove their shoes and leave them lined up outside the storytime amphitheatre. Don't forget to bring your camera.

 

Teen/Tween Survival Cooking

Learn how to make great holiday gifts using Mason jars and your favorite cookie and soup mixes. You'll get to sample these tasty treats too. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library. Please call 827-6900 to register for this free program.
