Who let the dogs out?  Elementary students and beginning readers are invited to join our volunteer therapy dogs for a barking good time.  Read your favorite stories to these clever canines and become a member of the Read to Rover Frequent Reader Club.  Don't miss this great experience!

Shelby and Maddie will be at the library today!  Read them one of your favorite books or one of the many doggie tales we have at the library.

Homeschool Hoopla

Join our homeschool group... right after storytime!  Starting at 12 pm, socialize with other homeschool kids and parents during a bring-your-own brown bag “Library Lunch."  Then join our Library Skills class at 12:30 pm, where you and your child will learn together how to use library resources, from finding books on the shelf to checking out e-books.  Call Kristine at 827-6900 for more information.

This session is for children in grades 4-8.  Homeschool Hoopla will break for the summer months and resume in September.  Look for the next session for children in grades K-3 this fall!

Did you know that April is National Poetry Month?  We'll be learning about different types of poems and creating our own poetry books!

National Library Week: Bedtime Storytime

Wear your PJs to this special session of our regular Wednesday storytime where we do storytime backwards!  Arts and crafts come first and then we will wind down with some favorite stories.  This is a family program that is suitable for all young children.

We will be reading books about community helpers in honor of the National Library Week theme Communities Matter as well as Miss Kristine's new favorite book Can I Bring Woolly to the Library, Ms. Reeder?.

Just For Babies

Join Miss Kristine and Miss Alex every Wednesday for quality time with your baby or toddler.  Enjoy songs, stories, fingerplays, games, and so much more during this lapsit program.  Duffy the Storytime Bear is looking forward to meeting you under the parachute!  Older siblings are welcome to stick around for Family Storytime right after.

Today we will have an ABC party!  Don't forget to bring in your bookmarks to enter into our seasonal drawing.
