Summer Reading Event: The Science of Music

Fizz Boom Read!  Learn about the science of music with some hands-on learning, science experiments, and a make and take project.  This science program is for kids in grades 2 and up.  All supplies will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

STAND Against Bullying with Mark Alan

Magician Mark Alan deals with a serious topic in a fun manner using comedy, magic, ventriloquism, musical routines, and lots of interaction to help give kids the tools to take a stand against bullying. This 45-minute program is intended for elementary-age children, but is fun for all. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

Read The Missing Gator of Gumbo Limbo by Jean Craighead George on your own time and then come to the library for book-related activities.  Learn about the Florida Everglades and the alligators and other wildlife that can be helped through conservation efforts. Stop by the Southeast Youth Services Desk starting Tuesday, June 10 to sign up to participate and pick up a copy of the book.
