All teens ages 13 - 18 are invited to celebrate National Library Week's Support Teen Literature Day (April 17) with a new movie (rated PG-13) based on a popular book by J.R.R. Tolkien, owned in our library system, featuring hobbits, elves, and dragon named Smaug! Hobbit-related prizes will be raffled and pizza and sodas will be served thanks to the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. Celebrate National Library Week's Support Teen Literature Day (Thursday, April 17) all week by checking out our display in the Reference Department of awesome teen books loved by both teens and adults! Teen books have gained popularity over the years and now many teen series and titles - The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Fault in Our Stars, Twilight, Percy Jackson, and so many more - are as beloved by adults as they are by teens. Check one (or several!) of these books out and find out what the fuss is about!

In honor of Earth Day, children, teens, and families are invited to view a film about an adorable baby chimp named Oscar and his entertaining approach to life in a remarkable story of family bonds and individual triumph. This film is rated G. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the SE Branch Library.

Every 4th Wednesday of the month, the whole family is invited to the library to play board games, including Monopoly, Connect Four, Candy Land, Scrabble, Chutes & Ladders, Uno, and many more. Simply use your library card, or driver's license, to check out the games. All board games - including our new ones (Trivial Pursuit Family Edition, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Don't Drop the Egg, Super Mario Brothers Checkers, and Apples to Apples Disney Edition) are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library.

Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, tweens in 4th-7th grades are invited to the library for an afternoon of building with Legos and hanging out. No registration is necessary and it's free. Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens, including our pink Legos. Tween girl Lego lovers, we want you to join our club, too. We love our tweens and that they use our library - happy National Library Week!

Play "E" and "T"-rated games on our PlayStation 3 (with the new Move), our new Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo Wii, or X-Box 360 (with the new Kinect) set up on three TVs for simultaneous playing. The Friends of the Bartram Trail Library offers ACT and SAT prep classes beginning Monday, March 31. The ACT 5-class series meets at 5pm and the SAT 5-class series meets at 6:30pm on March 31 and April 7, 14, and 21; with practice tests for both classes on April 28 at 5pm. The dwarves, along with Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Grey, continue their quest to reclaim Erebor, their homeland, from Smaug. Bilbo Baggins is in possession of a mysterious and magical ring.
