FAFSA Workshop

Do you have a child entering college? Every student who applies to college must file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to apply for federal student aid (loans or grants) and to apply for most state and individual college aid. Please join financial aid director Wayne Bodiford for help understanding the FAFSA and college aid process.  

 

 

Teen Coffeehouse & Author Visit

Calling all teen artists, poets, and scholars!  Come share your drawings, sketches, poems, stories...anything!  We will meet in the Teen Lounge and share our art and the art of others.  This month special guest Shannon Greenland, author of "The Summer My Life Began" and "The Specialists" series, will be joining us.  Bring your sketchbooks, journals, and your own coffee mug and we'll fill it with decaf coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or apple cider.  Sponsored by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

Kids & Tween Recycled Crafts Event

It's early release, so bring the kids in to enjoy a great recycled craft event!   We will be making painted bottles, making rock pals & even creating bowls out of leftover magazines!  This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Anastasia Island Branch Library.

Teen Movies & Pizza Afternoon

There's no school, so come in to the library to watch a great movie & eat yummy pizza!  We will play two newly released to DVD movies and eat some great Romano's pizza for an afternoon snack while it lasts! Movies are rated  PG & PG13. Call the library for movie choices 209-3730.

J.A.A.M. (Japanese Anime At Main)

Tweens, teens, and young twenty-somethings are invited to the monthly meeting of our anime club, where you can meet others with similar interests. We’ll be viewing assorted Anime & enjoying Japanese candy.  Feel free to wear a costume if you’d like and come JAAM with us!
