On the 4th Wednesday of every month between 3 - 6 pm, the whole family is invited to the library to play board games! Simply use your library card or driver's license to check out a board game or two from the Reference Desk and play anywhere in the library. Challenge your family and friends to your favorite games! Are you a teen who loves graphic novels? Ever thought of creating one yourself? All middle school and high school students are invited to celebrate Teen Read Week 2012 with Andre Frattino, local author of two graphic novels for teens (The Reaper of St. George Street and Lost Souls of Savannah) featuring teen ghost hunters from St. Augustine! Andre will show you what it takes to become a graphic novel author with opportunities to create your own art if you wish. All teen graphic novel enthusiasts are encouraged to participate in this hands-on workshop. Based on an Aztec celebration and the holidays of All Souls’ Day and All Saints Day, El Dia de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) is a whimsical holiday celebrated in Mexico and many other countries throughout the Americas. Learn about this celebration, and join us in making beautiful, bright, paper crafts. This program is for aimed at elementary aged children and up.
