Teen Tech Time Machine

Saturday, March 14 @ 1 pm

teen huddleTeens are invited to the Lounge to take, download, and print black & white pictures of themselves and then "enhance" them non-digitally. Paints, colored pencils, rhinestones and other assorted materials will be available. Typewriters will be available to write messages as well. 

 

 

LEGO Club for Tweens

Wednesday, March 18 from 3pm - 4:30pm

LegoTweens in 4th - 7th grades (ages 9 - 13) are invited to the library for an afternoon of building with Legos and hanging out! No registration is necessary and it's free. Thanks to our Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for providing the Legos for this very special program just for Tweens, including our pink Legos. Tween girl Lego lovers, we want you to join our club, too. All young LEGO lovers, please enjoy our brand-new LEGO table in the Children's Department, purchased by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library,  so that this special program may just be for the Tweens!

 

Teen Tech Week: Teen Movie Club

MovieTuesday, March 10 from 5pm - 7:30pm

How does technology win a war? Propoganda, according to tonight's movie! Do you agree? Teens (Ages 13 - 18 ONLY) are invited to celebrate Teen Tech Week and join our new Movie Club featuring primarily book-to-movie adaptations! Bring your friends, chow down on pizza and sodas, and let us know if the movie lived up to the book. You don't have to read the book to come, but the books are all available in the library. Just days after its release, we'll be watching the Part I adaptation (PG-13) of Suzanne Collins' final book in the "Hunger Games" trilogy, Mockingjay, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth. Dr. Seuss's Birthday Party

happy childrenKids! Celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss, a.k.a Theodore Seuss Geisel, by reading Dr. Seuss stories and making truffula tree cupcakes. All supplies courtesy of the Friends of the Hastings Branch Library. 

 

 

Teen Gaming Night

Teens (Ages 13-18) are invited to have fun with friends at the library. Play "E" and "T"-rated games on our PlayStation 3, Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo Wii, or X-Box 360 set up on three TVs for simultaneous playing. Don't worry about waiting for a turn - we'll have board games to play. Snacks will be provided. Fusion Bead Craft for Kids and Teens

Kids and tweens can come into the library to create some fun fusion bead crafts.  We will have patterns for you to make some of your favorite video game character keychains, or simply create your own unique keychain out of fusion beads!

 

Family Bingo for Books

Don't miss this chance to win free books while having fun playing Bingo! All materials will be supplied by the Library and everyone will go home with at least one free book. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Bartram Trail Library. 

Teen Makerspace

Join us for the latest in our Teen Makerspace series and create some rad tie-dye looks! Bring your own 100% cotton items or use materials provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library. Make sure to wear something old!
