National Library Week Event: Kids & Tweens Crafts with Cat in the Hat

Kids & Tween Crafting EventFriday, April 19 @ 3:30 pm
Come into the library to celebrate National Library Week by making some great crafts. You can hang out with Cat in the Hat while making your own canvas bags, origami book marks and bottlecap jewelry. We'll even have some special Seussalicious snacks for you. This event is sponsored by the Friends of Anastasia Island Branch Library.

 

New Release Movie Event

(PG13) Join us for this newly released to DVD book to movie. Bilbo Baggins, a respectable, well-to-do hobbit, lives comfortably in his hobbit-hole until the day the wandering wizard Gandalf chooses him to take part in an adventure from which he may never return. Summer Reading Event: Teen Graphic Novel Workshop

Are you a teen who loves graphic novels? Ever thought of creating one yourself? All middle school and high school students are invited to this workshop on making comics with Andre Frattino, local author of two graphic novels for teens, The Reaper of St. George Street and Lost Souls of Savannah, featuring teen ghost hunters from St. Augustine. Andre will show you what it takes to become a graphic novel author with opportunities to create your own art if you wish. All teen graphic novel enthusiasts are encouraged to participate in this hands-on workshop. Please call the Library at 827-6960 with any questions -- this workshop is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library.

International Games Day Event: Teen Gamers

Teens, (Grades 6-12) bring your friends and come on out for a couple hours of gaming -- we have Halo, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Wii, PS3, and x-Box 360 games. We'll be breaking out our newest addition: the Wii U. Refreshments will be served. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Bartram Trail Branch Library.
