Get Caught Reading (All Month Long)

May is Get Caught Reading month. Children and teens “caught” reading in the library, and elsewhere any time throughout the month of May, will receive a ticket to be entered into a weekly raffle. See a child or teen reading? Snap a picture and bring it to the library. Entrants will also have their pictures taken and posted on the bulletin board if they like. This annual national campaign is supported by the Association of American Publishers.

National Library Week: "Teens Got Talent" Showcase

Everyone in the community is invited to join us in celebrating National Library Week and supporting the talents of our local teens in Ponte Vedra. This year's Showcase - our first - will be presented and hosted by our new Teen Advisory Board, Youth Services Librarian Anne Crawford, and our Master of Ceremonies, Magician Mark Alan, who is also providing magic and comedy. Join us for musical performances, theatre, and more. Light refreshments are provided by the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library who are generously sponsoring this event.

Today is Support Teen Literature Day so come prepared to celebrate and to share your favorite teen books. We will be Skyping with Laura Lam, author of the young adult novel Pantomime.
