AARP Tax Assistance

Tax

The AARP Tax-Aide program offers free, one-on-one counseling to help individuals prepare basic tax forms, including the 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, and other standard schedules. Counseling is available to all low-to-middle income taxpayers, regardless of age. No advance registration is needed, people will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Individuals must bring a photo ID, last year's tax return, and all relevant tax information with them.

Friends of the Hastings Branch Library Meeting

Thursday, April 9 @ 6 pm

Help your library (and your community) by becoming a Friend. Friends do things like staff the bookstore, represent the library at community events, and come up with ideas to raise funds and promote the library. The Friends' efforts provide funding for library programming, crafts for storytime, extra library materials, and much more. Meetings are the second Thursday of every month for one hour.

Drop Everything and Read Event: Read to Morgan the Parrot

Kids are invited to come and read to Morgan the parrot, a blue crowned conure. Mr. Brad will be bringing him to the library for a special appearance in honor of Drop Everything and Read month. Kids may come with their favorite book to read from or ask Ms. Michelle to help them choose one from the shelf.
