Everyone is welcome to join author Dave Shave at the Southeast Branch Library for this three-part workshop (other classes will be April 29 & May 6 at 10 am).  Shave will share information on exploring your unconscious in order to improve your life and the way you feel.

People's Law School: Should You Ever Put Someone Else's Name on Your Deed?

Everyone is invited to attend this one-hour legal class at the Southeast Branch Library. All People's Law School classes are free and are presented by St. Johns Legal Aid Staff. 

 

Earth Day Nature Film

In honor of Earth Day, children, teens, and families are invited to view a film about an adorable baby chimp named Oscar and his entertaining approach to life in a remarkable story of family bonds and individual triumph. This film is rated G. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Southeast Branch Library.

Southeast Bookclub: Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver

This riveting story concerns a young wife and mother on a failing farm in rural Tennessee who experiences something she cannot explain, and how her discovery energizes various competing factions - religious leaders, climate scientists, environmentalists, and politicians - trapping her in the center of the conflict and ultimately opening up her world. Who let the dogs out? Elementary students and beginning readers are invited to join our volunteer therapy dogs for a barking good time. Read your favorite stories to these clever canines and become a member of the Read to Rover Frequent Reader Club. Don't miss this great experience.

Come visit with Maddie, Clifford, and Cookie. Read them one of your favorite books or one of the many doggie tales we have at the library.

School House Rock!

The St. Augustine Community Theater will present a sing-and-dance along performance of School House Rock Live! Junior at the library. This performance is part of the Cheers for Peers Community Outreach Program and features music and dance from the cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs.

Children's Book Week: Music, Rhythm and Motion with Yehaa Bob!

Bob Jackson of Orlando and Disney fame brings his interactive show of comedy, music, and fun to St. Augustine.  This sing-along show incorporates comedy, music, and fun to educate children on the different aspects of music and to encourage the appreciation of music in everyday life.  In celebration of Children's Book Week, books about music will be on display and available for checkout with a valid St. Johns County Public Library card.
 
Bob Jackson has been bringing laughter and music to audiences at Walt Disney World for more than sixteen years. Bob was awarded the Disney Legacy Award in 2013. Bob combines his great boogie woogie piano skills with comedy and sing-along to create a unique audience interactive experience.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Florida will be providing Healthcare Navigation services at the Southeast Branch Library.  Healthcare Navigators are certified to assist with insurance enrollment and are qualified to answer questions about the Affordable Care Act and the Health Insurance Marketplace.  Services are FREE of charge.  A patient navigator will also be available at the Southeast Library to answer your questions May 28, June 11 & June 25 at the same time.

St. Augustine Travel Club: The French Riviera
