Please join us on Saturday, February 28, 2015 as we welcome Les Standiford, author of Last Train to Paradise: Henry Flagler and the Spectacular Rise and Fall of the Railroad that Crossed an Ocean. Standiford's novelist flair will transport you back to the time of Henry Flagler, luxurious hotels, and railroad travel. A reception with light refreshments will begin at 1:30 pm and the presentation will commence at 2pm at the St. Johns County Auditorium, County Administration Building, 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, FL 32084. This 10th Annual St. Johns Reads selection is a Florida themed book - Les Standiford's Last Train to Paradise: Henry Flagler and the Spectacular Rise and Fall of the Railroad that Crossed an Ocean is sure to be a crowd pleaser for this year's program. We encourage community members to join us in reading this year's selection and to participate in a variety of events including book discussions, films, and presentations that will feature various elements of Florida's history. Les Standiford will be speaking at the County Auditorium on Saturday, February 28 at 2pm. This program is free and open to the public. The AARP Tax-Aide program offers FREE one-on-one counseling through April 14th to help individuals prepare basic tax forms, including the 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ and other standard schedules. The FREE counseling is available at these locations to all low to middle income tax payers, regardless of age. No advance registration is needed, people will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Individuals must bring a photo ID, last year's tax return, and all relevant tax information.
