Get Caught Reading (All Month Long): Hastings
boys reading May is Get Caught Reading month. Children and teens “caught” reading in the library, and elsewhere any time throughout the month of May, will receive a ticket to be entered into a weekly raffle. See a child or teen reading? Snap a picture and bring it to the library. Entrants will also have their pictures taken and posted on the bulletin board if they like. This annual national campaign is supported by the Association of American Publishers.

Children's Book Week Event: Bingo for Books

Saturday, May 18 @ 1pm
Kids of all ages are invited to come and play Bingo for Books in honor of Children’s Book Week. There will be lots of books to choose from and no one will walk away empty handed. Have fun at the library.

Teen Gamers: Bartram Trail
Saturday, May 18 @ 5pm
Teens, grades 6-12, bring your friends and come for an evening of gaming. We have Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Wii, PS3, or play the newest Halo game on X-Box 360. Refreshments will be served.

Blast off to the Southeast Galaxy Room! The ultimate teen gaming experience...come check out all the games we have for Wii, including Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and Super Smash Brothers. Grab a group of friends and get moving! You must be between the ages of 11 and 18 and sign in at the Youth Services desk at Southeast with your valid library card or photo ID to gain access to our fantastic gaming galaxy.
