Meet your local and state firefighting heroes, and learn what they must do every day to keep us safe. Explore the vehicles and equipment of the St. Johns County Fire Rescue, and learn what you can do stay safe, too! Also, learn what it’s like to work for the Florida Forest Service during a fire emergency. All of our FLYP events this summer will have a Florida flavor in honor Viva Florida 500. Please note: This event will take place in the Hastings Recreation Center gym located at 400 E. Harris Street. Please ensure all guests wear rubber-soled shoes.
Join us for stories, a craft, music, and dancing centered around the theme of water. We’ll learn about the water cycle with George Ella Lyon’s All the Water in the World and follow the journey of a ball as it floats on the surface of the ocean in Molly Bang’s The Yellow Ball.
