The Florida Agricultural Museum & Stable-2-Table bring you an educational program complete with live animals. Learn about what farming was like before the days of modern agribusiness. Also, see what it's like run your own Community Supported Agriculture business today. All of our FLYP events this summer will have a Florida flavor in honor Viva Florida 500. Please note: This event will take place in the Hastings Recreation Center gym located at 400 E. Harris Street. Please ensure all guests wear rubber-soled shoes.
Come listen to a selection of great rock 'n' roll music from the 50s and 60s by some of its pioneers including Fats Domino, Bill Haley and the Comets, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Elvis Presley, and Florida's own Bo Diddley. We'll learn about where the music and the term "Rock 'n' Roll" came from and why it became so popular, what instruments were used, and how the library can help you learn more about the music.
