Join turtle advocate, Jade Dupuis, from St. Johns County Environmental Division as she teaches us about the amazing turtles found in our area, and why they need our help! Sea turtles are amongst the oldest creatures on earth, but they are currently threatened. The beaches of northeast Florida are an important nesting area for the loggerhead, green, and leatherback sea turtles each summer. Discover how we can share and protect the beaches. We think our turtle friends are so COOL, we'll even celebrate nesting season with a "turtle" ice cream party! This FREE program is sponsored in partnership with the Friends of the Library of St. Johns County.
