Calling All St. Johns County Indie Fiction Writers!
Do you love writing but aren’t sure how to get in the publishing pool? Here’s your chance! The Florida Author Project writing competition begins April 1, 2021. Finalists in this competition will be reviewed by The Library Journal, one of America’s oldest and most renowned trade publications for library news. Winners will receive $500, a full-page feature in The Library Journal, their work included in Indie Florida (a digital collection available on Biblioboard), and more. Submissions must be indie-published, in the adult or young adult fiction genre, written by a Florida resident, and in an e-pub or PDF format. Entries are due by May 31, 2021. SJCPLS has tools readily available to assist authors with formatting and publishing here: Writer’s Resources. We can’t wait to see what stories our St. Johns County writing community shares.
