The New York Times
SJCPLS offers 24 hour complimentary, unlimited access to the digital edition of The New York Times. The library’s subscription provides access to NYTimes.com from any computer or device, as well as access to the NYT app on portable devices. You’ll get immediate access to:
- TimesMachine digital archive (issues from 1851 to 2002; available only on desktop)
- Article sharing (up to 10 full articles per month)
- The Learning Network and In Education resources for teachers
- Access to games like Wordle, Sudoku, and the mini crossword (excludes the standard crossword and Cooking sections)
- Audio content, including podcasts and “Reporter Reads”
You must create an NYT account for access. You will be prompted to sign up using Facebook, Google, or with an email address and password. If you already have an NYT account, click ‘Log in’ to enter your email and password.
The Wall Street Journal
SJCPLS offers 72 hour complimentary, unlimited access to the digital edition of The Wall Street Journal. The library’s subscription provides access to the WSJ from any computer or mobile device browser. You’ll get immediate access to:
- Real-time market news and customizable stock watchlist
- Print edition access for the current day and the past seven days
- News Archive with articles from the last four years
- Personal finance and career guides in the “Tools and Features” section
- Global and political news, as well as videos and podcasts
You must create a WSJ account for access. Access is for 72 hours and can be redeemed through this link every three days.
