June 29, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Do you want to grow your own vegetables but are tight on garden space? Or, maybe you do not have outdoor space for growing vegetables? Join us for a couple of special programs where we will use minimal indoor space to grow vegetables and other yummy and healthy edibles, and then enjoy them!

Master Gardeners will take us through the steps of what is needed for successful container gardening, indoor or outdoor. We will also be going even smaller and using glass jars to grow bean sprouts, radishes, and some herbs. All ages are welcome!

Supplies will be provided for you to take home and make your own indoor container garden!

Our second program is August 3rd at 3:00 pm where we start harvesting our gardens and tasting our beautiful and healthy bounty.

“Growing Food, Growing Community @ SJCPLS” is supported with funds provided by the Northeast Florida Library Information Network https://neflin.org/ and was created in partnership with the University of Florida, IFAS Extension Master Gardener Program https://ifas.ufl.edu/.

Our “Growing Food, Growing Community @ SJCPLS” garden will be located between the periodicals and teen area. Come watch it Grow!
