St. Johns County Public Library System and Into the Rhythm present:  Brainpulse Drumming a Senior health and wellness series.  Brainpulse is a 9 week interdisciplinary program that educates about brain health.  We will learn how our brain wires and fires under stress and tips to help reduce stress through shared rhythmic activity.  Utilizing drums as the medium, we will work together to achieve our goals of holding shared rhythms. Playing a drum has been found by neuroscientists to light up every area of the brain at once.  Drumming has been proven to aid with cognitive reserve, reaction time, reducing stress, improved mobility, and memory feelings of well-being.  Instuments provided and facilitated by Amber Hall and is offered free and open to all.  No experience needed. Skill level — Easy and Fun!

The first series will be held at the Main Branch – 1960 Ponce De Leon Blvd,. St Augustine. The rest of the series will be held at the Waterworks -184 San Marco Ave., St. Augustine.

The Waterworks is available through the generosity of the City of St. Augustine and the St. Johns Cultural Council.
