FANTASTIC FOSSILS FOR KIDS

From the ancient Florida ocean to the age of the land mammal, explore the history you can find right under your feet at your local beaches. This fun, hands-on program explores how Florida’s epochs affected the fossil treasures we find today. Learn about kid collectors, too!  This program will be presented by Ms. Michelle.  Recommended for children ages 8 and older.

Michelle is the Assistant Branch Manager of the Hastings Library has been collecting fossils on St. Johns County beaches since she moved to Florida in 2004.  She had several of them identified when she met with Dr. Richard Hulbert, a paleontologist at the Florida Museum of Natural History.
