Do you want to grow your own vegetables but are tight on garden space? Or, maybe you do not have outdoor space for growing vegetables? Join us for a couple of special programs where we will use minimal indoor space to grow vegetables and other yummy and healthy edibles, and then enjoy them!
Our June program focused on best plants to use for smaller gardens, what materials would be needed, and how to care for our smaller gardens. This month we get to enjoy the fruits of our labors! Join us for some tasty tomatoes, fragrant herbs, spicy radishes, and simple sprouts – all grown in our mobile container garden. All ages are welcome!
Supplies will be provided for you to take home and make your own indoor container garden!
“Growing Food, Growing Community @ SJCPLS” is supported with funds provided by the Northeast Florida Library Information Network https://neflin.org/ and was created in partnership with the University of Florida, IFAS Extension Master Gardener Program https://ifas.ufl.edu/.
Our “Growing Food, Growing Community @ SJCPLS” garden will be located between the periodicals and teen area. Come watch it Grow!
