ALPHABET STEM- TEMPERATURE

March 29 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

REGISTRATION FULL

Registration Required! Kids ages 3-5 can join Ms. Karen at the Southeast Branch Library as we continue our very popular S.T.E.M. Storytime series.  This time, we will learn science, technology, engineering and math as we work our way through the alphabet.  Every letter includes a hands-on project to participate in or to complete with their caregiver.  Class size is limited to 20 young scientists.

This week’s letter is T. We will be discussing Temperature.   Do colors affect temperature? On a hot day is it better to wear a white or black shirt if you want to keep cool? What about on a cold day to keep warm? Find out the answer by participating in a simple experiment using thermometers to measure temperature change based on light or dark colors. Also participate in an experiment to demonstrate if heat or cold has an effect on how fast or slow things move.
