Adults are invited to join us for our summer movie fest of monthly movies based on popular adult books! No RSVPs are required and light refreshments will be served. Movies will be shown on our 96″ screen, so bring your friends and beat the beat! Adults who attend will each receive on raffle ticket – two if they show their SJCPLS library card – for a copy of the book the monthly movie is based upon! This book is also owned by SJCPLS in print as well as downloadable formats via Overdrive. Thank you to the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library for generously sponsoring our Literary Movie Matinees this summer for adults.
This month, the Movie Matinee will be “A Man Called Otto,” which is based upon the book A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. Amazon Summary for “A Man Called Ove” starring Tom Hanks: “Based on the # 1 New York Times bestseller “A Man Called Ove,” A Man Called Otto tells the story of Otto Anderson (Tom Hanks), a grump who no longer sees purpose in his life following the loss of his wife.
