PAPER BOOK CLUB

September 23 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Main Branch Children's Programs

We’re hosting our fourth Paper Book workshop at the Main Library with Kelsey.

People of all ages can make a paper book.  And a paper book can be about anything.

This form of expression can help you:

  • visually communicate feelings about something happy or something difficult
  • practice creating or telling a story
  • practice your art and/or handwriting
  • document an event or experience
  • show your readers how to do or make something

During this workshop, participants will receive a blank, pre-folded, 8 paged booklet and art supplies will be provided.

Volunteers will be available to guide the process and answer questions.

At the end of the workshop, those who finish their paper books will have an option to make 3 copies and we’ll show you how to fold them into booklets on your own. The authors can donate one of their books to the library, give to friends and family or drop off at their neighborhood little library.

If you’d like to see the library’s paper book collection next to the magazines in the Caldecott Childrens Room.

We look forward to seeing you and what you make!
