A hands-on S.T.E.M. series just for preschoolers ages 3-5. Explore engaging Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math activities perfect for young inquisitive minds. There is a strong focus on children’s non-fiction books, as well as developing vocabulary and critical thinking skills through constructive learning activities. This series also instructs caregivers on how to extend each activity into play at home with take home activities, and library resources.
Registration is required and limited to 20 children. Spaces fill up extremely fast. A waitlist will be provided. You must call or stop by in person to be added to the waitlist. Please only register the names of the children who are participating. Caregivers and younger or older siblings do not need to register. Younger siblings will be supplied with coloring sheets or other age-appropriate manipulatives. Older siblings may work and assist alongside the preschool aged child or read/color quietly. Older children in grades K-2 are now being offered an afterschool S.T.E.M. program just for them. Please check our website or contact the SE Youth Services Department for more details. Please contact Karen Newsome, SE Branch Library Youth Services Programmer for any questions!
