YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM/PUBLIC SPEAKING (Ages 12-18)

The Youth Leadership Program is a workshop consisting of fourteen 1 hour sessions that enable those between the ages of 12 and 18 to develop their communication and leadership skills through practical experience over a period of several months. In the workshop, young people will learn how to:
- Evaluate their own speaking ability
- Prepare and deliver speeches
- Give impromptu talks
- Control their voice, vocabulary, and gestures
- Give constructive feedback and more
This is an incremental 14 session course that builds on itself. Upon registering, students will be enrolled in all 14 sessions. Sessions will occur the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month (November will meet on the last Thursday of the month and December will only meet the 2nd Thursday) from 5:30-6:30pm.
Signing up for the first class registers you for all of the following dates:
- Sept. 28: 5:30-6:30pm
- Oct. 12 & 26: 5:30-6:30pm
- Nov. 30: 5:30-6:30pm
- Dec. 14: 5:30-6:30pm
- Jan. 1 & 25: 5:30-6:30pm
- Feb. 8 & 22: 5:30-6:30pm
- Mar. 14 & 28: 5:30-6:30pm
- Apr. 11 & 25: 5:30-6:30pm
- May 9: 5pm – 6:30pm
