All adults are invited to join the Book Lovers Book Club meeting in person or via Zoom from anywhere, whichever is better for you! The book we will be reading is The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes which honors National Library Card Sign-Up Month. If you would like a copy of the book to read or listen to for our Book Club, please stop by our Adult Reference Desk beginning August 13. Print and audiobook CD copies of this selection will be available for you to checkout at the Adult Reference Desk while copies last. If we run out of copies, we are happy to put you on the waiting list.

Plot synopsis of The Giver of Stars:  “Based on a program that was instituted by Eleanor Roosevelt in the mid-1930s, The Giver of Stars is about a group of women that begin a traveling library that delivers books to the rural areas of the town on horseback. These so-called Pack Horse Librarians must overcome a number of obstacles on their way to bringing literacy to the masses, but they do so and tackle these challenges together.
