Event Details

Come join us for a presentation by Chris Robb, a 10th generation descendant of Myles Standish. He will answer questions such as:
– Who were the Pilgrims, and what brought them to Plymouth, MA in 1620?
– What was the Mayflower and what was life like aboard it?
– With both St. Augustine and Jamestown being older, why are the Pilgrims and Plymouth so significant?

Chris Robb is a member of the Mayflower Society as a documented direct descendant of Myles Standish. He has a varied background: a former newspaper reporter, security consultant, polygraph examiner, and in hotel management. Since his retirement, he has been very active in the two major IRS volunteer tax programs, including the AARP. For his volunteer tax work, Chris was presented a Gold Level Presidential Volunteer Service Award, an outgrowth of the Thousand Points of Light Program.

This program is free and open to the public. Seating begins at 11:00 am and the presentation starts at 11:30 am. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine. For additional information, please call the Main Library at 904.827.6940.
