Local homeschoolers! Join us for weekly classes on art & gardening. A great chance to meet up with homeschoolers from all over St. Johns County. Designed for ages 4 to 14, but all are welcome. Supplies are limited, so registration is required. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can get dirty in. Call 904-827-6900 to register. Funded in part by the Friends of the Library.

1pm: Art Class
Introduction to Drawing – Discuss types of art, artists, and how to get started with drawing. Kids will use shapes, tracing, and their own imaginations to begin drawing with pencil and paper.

2pm: Gardening in the Children’s Courtyard
This week, children will create their own vision of a garden. Cut and paste images, draw, or color your own garden design and ideas.

Donations are currently being accepted for the gardening project. Items needed include: potting soil, seeds or seedlings, bamboo sticks, pots or planters, pavers, gravel, raised garden boxes, small gardening tools, watering cans.
