Everyone is invited to our first Speaker Series event of the 2022 – 2023 season! This month’s speaker – Raymond Wong, formerly of the CIA – returns to our library for a special talk, Robert Hanssen, the Insider Spy. Mr. Wong is also helping us celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month in September as he used his SJCPLS library card to check out books from our library he used to research for his special talk! The Friends of the Ponte Vedra Beach Library presents the Speaker Series with Raymond Wong who will give us the insights into the Spy of the Century, Robert Hanssen. He was a very religious family man who served with the FBI for more than twenty years and was a spy for the Soviet Union most of that time selling secrets and causing the deaths of many US agents in Russia. The FBI and CIA knew there was a mole, but each pointed their fingers at each other. How was he caught? Come join us and find out! This special talk – Robert Hanssen, the Insider Spy – is free and open to the public and will be held in the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library’s FOL Community Room.
