Event Details

Do you have a rising or current middle school student and are looking for additional free resources to support your student’s academic success and mental health? Join Adult Services Librarian Anne Crawford for this engaging presentation for all students (public, private, charter, and homeschool) during which you will learn about book resources your student can use to help them with school and to help you to learn more about what tackling in academics. Books and e-books (found in SJCPLS’s databases, Overdrive and Hoopla) will also be shared regarding helping your student successfully transition and thrive during these eventful years in a student’s life. A list of more suggested titles available to you will also be available at the end of this presentation.

Anne will also highlight two great databases, Brainfuse HelpNow and Gale in Context:  Middle School, which are available 24/7 and are incredibly helpful for all middle school students! All of these books, e-books, and databases are free to SJCPLS card holders. Don’t yet have a card for you and/or your student? Simply visit any one of our six SJCPLS branches or Bookmobile and get one today. It’s the “smartest card in your wallet” and a great way to celebrate September’s National Library Card Sign-Up Month ahead of time!
