Event Details

October is American Archives Month! Join Main Library’s Adult Programming Coordinator Beth online as she heads to the archives to explore the Resilience: Black Heritage in St. Augustine project. Resilience is a collaborative, year-long celebration between various libraries, archives, and museums throughout north Florida aiming to bring greater attention to the many contributions of St. Augustine’s Black community throughout the city’s long history. Beth will meet with representatives of some of the project’s participating institutions, including Flagler College Archives, Governor’s House Library (University of Florida Historic St. Augustine), Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center, St. Augustine Historical Society Research Library, and Ximenez-Fatio House Museum, to learn more about this celebration. This program can be conveniently viewed on our website, our Facebook page, or our Youtube channel.
