1 1/2 cups milk, 2 eggs, 1 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 3/4 cup flour, 4 tablespoons of sugar for the meringue, 2 squares of chocolate (melted), Butter the size of an egg
Mix sugar and flour together dry. Warm milk, add beaten yolks and all other ingredients. Pour into a buttered baking dish, cook in moderate oven until firm about twenty minutes. Make meringue and put on top, continue cooking until done or meringue is brown. It will take about ten minutes or less to make meringue and about the same length of time to cook which will take the required 20 minutes. The heat should be a little less when the meringue is put in.
