Event Details

Happy National Library Week and Happy National Garden Month! Did you know St. Johns County libraries and gardening pair perfectly together? For over 10 years, the Garden Club of St. Augustine and St. Johns County Public Library System have collaborated to make our popular “Nature Detective Workshops for Kids” possible at our six branch locations. The Garden Club of St. Augustine benefits our community in other wonderful ways:  working with the homeless and veterans, assisting with resources and supporting those who tend gardens, hosting the Annual Tour of Homes celebrating St. Augustine’s beautiful history, educating about pollinators and about flower arranging, and more!

Join Reference and Adult Services Librarian Anne Crawford as she interviews officers of the Garden Club about how and why to join this wonderful organization that benefits our community and our Library System. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants – Garden Club members themselves – will also be on hand to discuss Nature Detective Workshops for Kids 2021. Don’t miss this engaging and informative interview!

This is an online event that you can conveniently watch on our website, our Facebook page, or our YouTube channel.
