Join Mr. Andy and Archaeologist Emily Jane Murray on Facebook as they discuss The Florida Public Archaeology Network and learn a bit about how to set up and work an archaeological dig. After the lesson, Ms. Murray will walk us through how to excavate a site using a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. You can make your own sandwich and “dig” along with us.

Supplies:
2 pieces of bread
Jelly
Peanut butter or some substitute (sunflower butter, frosting, etc)
Sprinkles – could also use tiny chocolate chips, nuts, etc. They will represent the artifacts.
Straw – clear if possible
Knife/spoon, plate, napkins, etc
