Event Details

Teens and Tweens, grades 6-12, join Ms. Carla in sewing a candy corn stuffie for fall. Pick up a kit at your local library branch while supplies last, kits are limited.

If you picked up a kit at your local library you should have:

  • 2 – 8 ½” by 3 ½” strips of white cotton fabric
  • 2 – 8 ½” by 3 ½” strips of yellow cotton fabric
  • 2 – 8 ½” by 3 ½” strips of orange cotton fabric
  • Fiberfill or similar to stuff the candy corn stuffie
  • Candy Corn pattern

You will also need:

  • Straight pins
  • Hand sewing needle
  • White thread
  • Candy Corn pattern shape (about 9 inches tall by 7 ½ inches wide at the widest point tapering to 3 ½ inches at the narrow end – you can freehand this on a regular sheet of copy paper). You may also email libbt@sjcfl.us for a template of the candy corn shape
  • Sewing machine (May require adult supervision)
  • Iron (May require adult supervision)
