Elementary School-aged children up through adults are invited to join NASA Solar System Ambassador Bharath Muthyala for a discussion of the upcoming total solar eclipse! Afterwards, we’ll venture outside for a special outdoor activity during which visitors can watch the Sun through safe filters and through a telescope. Find out more about the upcoming Total Solar Eclipse occurring on Monday, August 21, 2017 during which all of North America will be treated to an eclipse of the sun! Anyone within the path of totality can see one of nature’s most awe inspiring sights – a total solar eclipse – which will become the most viewed eclipse ever in history. This special event is made possible by the Friends of the Library. Please Note: Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of this event.
