Registration Required. Did you know that colorectal cancer is the number two cancer killer in the United States, and yet it is one of the most preventable? Colorectal cancer can not only be detected, but prevented through regular screening. It’s estimated that more than 50,000 people will die from colorectal cancer this year. Over half of those lives could have been saved through routine screening, yet one in three adults has never had it done. That’s over 23 million Americans. Please join us for this interactive program to learn more about colorectal cancer, including the risk factors, lifestyle factors that could decrease your risk, signs and symptoms, and how regular screening can not only detect, but halt the progression of colorectal cancer. For questions, please call the Main Library at 904.827.6940.
