The Friends of the Bookmobile (FOB) of St. Johns County, Inc. is seeking someone to take the reins of leadership. The FOB serves as a support group providing additional enhancement to St. Johns County Bookmobile and Extension Services.

The St. Johns County Public Library System will soon be able to offer a new way to see the world with life-changing EnChroma receptor glasses available for checkout to library patrons. These unique glasses use a patented lens technology to show the colorblind brilliant color for the first time. The new “Color Your World” program will bring color accessibility to St. Johns County in a big way!
Families with young children are invited to warm up at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch library on December 4 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. as we celebrate the holidays! Our incoming Children’s Librarian, Maribeth Wood, will introduce herself to patrons as she shares a variety of holiday stories. Good cheer is sure to abound as children create fun crafts and enjoy milk and cookies.
St. Johns Reads 2020: Where the Crawdads Sing and Library 5K will be the focus of a great month of programming
The St. Johns County Public Library System is excited to announce that Delia Owens’ Where the Crawdads Sing is the title for St. Johns Reads 2020. Plus this year’s annual community-wide reading adventure will include a special 5K event, “Lace Up for Libraries.”
Library System Director Debra Rhodes Gibson is pleased to announce that the popular Food for Fines program will return this year in St. Johns County libraries and bookmobiles! An opportunity to eliminate most library fines, Food for Fines will run from Tuesday, November 12 through Friday, December 20.

From November 4–18, booklovers can borrow Gilly Segal and Kimberly Jones’ powerful debut novel, I’m Not Dying With You Tonight, from their public library as an ebook or audiobook with no waitlists or holds.
The Main Library of the St. Johns County Public Library System will be featuring a daylong celebration of National STEM/STEAM Day on Friday, November 8, 2019. The centerpiece of this day of fun and learning will be a portable “pop-up” planetarium set up inside the Main Library. A space-themed story time for children and parents will start the day at 10 a.m., with access to the planetarium from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The St. Johns County Public Library System is taking a big step forward with the help of several community partners and will be inaugurating a Seed Library at the Southeast Branch Library on October 29, 2019.
