Letter from the Library Director:
This time of year is one of reflection, wrapping last-minute gifts, spending time with family and friends, and making resolutions for the New Year. I want to extend my deepest appreciation to each of you who has made 2023 an extraordinary year for SJCPLS.
I am overwhelmed with gratitude for our donors, volunteers, and sponsors whose unwavering support has been the bedrock of our achievements. Each donation made, every hour volunteered, and every partnership forged has been instrumental in pushing SJCPLS toward our shared vision of serving the literacy needs of St. Johns County residents of all ages. Our libraries have a powerful impact not only on the people we work with directly but also on the larger community. It is an honor for our library staff and me to serve you.
While shopping for gifts and gathering with loved ones this season, please remember the St. Johns County Public Library System. Our Friends of the Library organizations have a wonderful selection of collectible and gently used titles for sale in our libraries that cover every subject imaginable and every age reader on your gift list. Plus, there may be people on your list who would rather have a donation to SJCPLS made in their name rather than receive a tangible gift. This is a perfect option for people who “have everything.” We have simplified the donation procedure, allowing supporters to donate online, in person, or by mail. Visit the “Donate” page on the library’s website to make a gift using a credit card, or send a check to your local branch library, along with details on where to send the gift acknowledgment. Donations can be made in any amount, and all funds raised through holiday gifts will go directly to support the work of SJCPLS.
As we celebrate this holiday season, I am inspired by the difference we continue to make together. Your generosity embodies the true spirit of giving, enriching the lives of countless St. Johns County individuals and families.
From all of us here at SJCPLS, we wish you and yours a happy holiday season!
