The Bartram Trail Branch Library is reopening at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, after the completion of a months-long fire sprinkler system replacement project.

Before the branch reopening, the temporary library at the St. Johns County Recreation and Parks Office at Mills Field will close at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 24.

Branch Manager Dan Markus says, “All staff are needed to prepare the library branch at 60 Davis Pond Blvd. to re-open. Cleaning, updating computers, and processing collection materials are just some of the tasks we have already started working on.”

While staff work to prepare for the branch’s reopening, patrons will be able to return items to the Bartram Trail Branch Library’s all-hours book drop at 60 Davis Pond Blvd. beginning Saturday, August 24. While patrons will not have access to a physical library for a short period of time, Branch Manager Dan Markus says no items will be due nor fines accrue on any days the library is closed. Additionally, all hold pickup dates will be extended.

The Bartram Trail Branch Library will re-open at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3.

Branch Manager Dan Markus adds, “We would like to thank the public for their patience during this time of improvement and repair. We are excited to welcome our patrons back to the library!”
